Hart Holden was originally known as Hamill Bros Ltd and “since 1928 the longest established motor vehicle dealer in Whakatane”

Trevor & Sue Hart bought the business from the Hamill family in 1986 when it was located in its grand old 1956 building in Commerce Street , Whakatane.

In 1993 Hart Holden and Hart Marine became the new name in Commerce Street . A few years later the Blue Pacific Fisheries building at 1 Bracken Street was purchased and extensive renovations and rebuilding took place to provide a more compact and efficient dealership to replace the Commerce Street buildings.

This new facility was officially opened on October 1998.

21 years on and Hart Holden is proud of its well established and reputable business name for providing an important and necessary service to the community and our reputation enables us to view the future with confidence.
